CSRE team strikes gold (literally) in Finland!

Prof. Alok Porwal's team including three of his Australian collaborators, Dr. Oliver Kreuzer, Dr. Amanda Buckingham, and Dr. Dan Core, along with his Ph.D. student Bijal Chudasama, was placed third in an international competition Karelian Gold Rush 2015 Exploration Challenge. The challenge, mooted by the Finalnd-based Endomines Oy, was to identify prospective ground for the next big gold discovery at the Karelian Gold line in eastern Finland. Prof. Porwal, an experienced exploration geologist and a world-renowned expert in GIS-based mineral prospectivity modeling, generated gold potential models of the area. Congratulations to Prof. Porwal and his team. We hope to see more of such accolades for CSRE in the future.
