Current Students

Ph.D.

Mr. Sehajpal Singh received his bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology, Patiala, India, in 2018; and his master’s degree in Remote Sensing and GIS from Indian Institute of Remote Sensing, ISRO, Dehradun, India in 2021. There, he discovered his love for studying seasonal dynamics of ice surface processes on Mars. As a PhD student, his current research is focused on studying the impact of volatile ices in Martian climate using modeling and analysis of remote sensing data. In his free time, Sehaj enjoys hiking and exploring new places, skygazing, and playing volleyball.

Research Interests:  Martian cryosphere, Planetary Science

Parvathi Harikumar is a PhD scholar in Planetary Science, and joined in 2024. She holds a postgraduate degree in Physics from NIT Tiruchirappalli and MTech in Geoinformatics and Earth Observation from Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham. Prior to her MTech, she worked as a Project Scientist (R-0) at CSIR-CEERI Pilani in the Smart Sensors domain. During her MTech, she carried out her dissertation at the Divecha Centre for Climate Change, IISc, focusing on the Himalayan cryosphere, where she contributed to the automation of the HIGTHIM tool.
