CENTRE OF STUDIES IN RESOURCES ENGINEERING

Areas of Specialisation:

1)   Remotesensing and GIS applications to:

a.     Surface Hydrology

b.    Landuse Planning (AM/FM)

Surface Hydrology: The research Problem we are studying is to estimate the impact of landuse changes on  runoff from the basin and also simulation of rainfall-runoff using Geo-spatial runoff estimation models for upper Krishna basin.

Landuse Planning: The research problem in this field is on modeling the growth of Mumbai-Navi Mumbai using Remote Sensing and GIS based tools and then to predict its growth path and optimize the landuse growth pattern for ‘Eco-friendly’ growth.
