a Geo-ICT and sensor network based decision support systems (DSS) for improving the rural livelihood, environmental sustenance/security and agriculture productivity which are attracting importance recently due to global climate change. This collaboration will be carried out between IIT-Bombay of India and NARO-NARC of Japan by utilizing and integrating their experiences and advantages in the targeted field.
Specific Objective:
To utilize and integrate the distributed collaboration model ‘GramyaVikas’ (of IIT-Bombay) and the Grid Computing and Sensor Networks (Field Server) (of NARO-NARC) for development of Decision Support Systems (DSS) to assist the rural extension community in the Indian districts/sub-districts in their own decision making processes.
